Rockdale Magnet School for Science & Technology (RMSST) is a public high school (9th-12th grades) designed for students who are curious about the scientific world, love to solve problems, seek a challenging academic environment, and can work independently, as well as in a group setting.

8th grade students must meet eligibility requirements to submit an application. Enrollment is based on a multi-criteria selection process.

To be considered for possible enrollment into the Rockdale Magnet School for Science & Technology, students must meet eligibility requirements by answering “yes” to all 3 of the following questions:

1:   Are you currently enrolled in 8th grade?

2:   Are you a resident of Rockdale County?

3:   Answer yes to 1 or more of the following: 

• Did you score in the 60th percentile or higher on the 7th grade STAR test in Math?
• Did you score in the 60th percentile or higher on the 6th grade CogAT in Math?
• Did you score in the 60th percentile or higher on the 6th grade CogAT in English?
• Did you score 550+ on the ELA Milestone?
• Did you score 550+ on the Math Milestone?
• Are you currently enrolled in High School Physical Science?
• Are you currently enrolled in Enhanced Algebra: Concepts & Connections?

(ALL non-RCPS applicants must be enrolled in a high school Carnegie credit math and/or science course)
